IS CLUB LACROSSE RIGHT FOR MY DAUGHTER?
Only players and parents can decide if club lacrosse is right for their athlete. Dodgers competes against the top lacrosse clubs from around the country. If your daughter is a stand out athlete and you're ready for the commitment necessary to participate in club lacrosse (attending clinics, traveling to tournaments and encouraging your young athlete to practice on their own time), then Dodgers may be a fit. Understanding the Dodgers culture is also important. We prioritize the holistic growth of our athletes in addition to our passion for helping in the recruiting process, should a student-athlete desire to play at the next level. Attending a Dodgers clinic/practice is the best way to experience it all. Contact us at any time to discuss further, to learn about the upcoming season and to schedule an evaluation session as the first step in joining Dodgers. Our Mission →

WHAT IF THE ATHLETE CANNOT MAKE A MANDATORY TOURNAMENT?
Dodgers players are expected to attend a minimum of four tournaments. These events are paid for by the Dodgers in advance by six months to a year, with every member accounted for. Therefore, we adhere to a strict, NO REFUND policy. Instances of extreme sudden illness will be addressed on an individual basis, and the proper action will be determined by the Director in rare cases.
HOW DO DODGERS CONDUCT PRACTICES?
Dodgers practices are referred to as "clinics" because they're structured to include intensive instruction in a small-group setting. Strength and conditioning work, nutrition and injury prevention and referee certification are covered throughout various clinics. Staffed with Dodgers coaches and current college coaches, we provide separate instruction for goalkeepers. Each clinic will focus on one or two areas of the game (defense, clears/riding, offense) and always emphasize stick skills and one on one skills. Overall, Dodgers guarantee hundreds of touches on the ball by every player.
WHAT ARE CLUB SEASONS FOR DODGERS?
Futures, Middle School and High School Memberships run from August through July and includes clinics, practices, entry to two or more required tournaments and our annual summer BBQ. For an additional fee, opportunities to participate in optional events are also available. It is possible to join Dodgers mid-way through our season. Our Adult Team Membership runs through July with participation in events such as Lake Placid and Vail.
IF THE ATHLETE PLAYS A FALL SPORT, CAN SHE STILL BE A DODGERS MEMBER?
Yes; absolutely! We believe the best lacrosse players are well-rounded, multi-sport athletes. We offer optional tournaments and practices in the fall, and we are more than wiling to work in partnership with athletes fulfilling commitments in other sports. To encourage multi-sport athletes, we do set up fall/winter practices and clinics on Sunday afternoons. Dodgers also offers field hockey as an extension of the club! Contact Us →
WHAT IF THE ATHLETE ATTENDS BOARDING SCHOOL?
Yes; she may play with Dodgers! Because we require evaluations instead of tryouts, we're allowed to accept players any distance from our home base in Avon, CT. We have athletes join us from VT, MA, NH, NY, even as far away as FL, MN and Toronto.
WHAT IF THE ATHLETE IS IN 8TH GRADE AND WANTS TO REGISTER FOR HIGH SCHOOL?
All Dodgers memberships are based on grade registration. At non-IWLCA events, it is possible for athletes to play on mixed teams. However, due to IWLCA rules, high school tournaments are limited to current high school students.
